Manila represent!
First of all, we all want to thank everyone for your support. As a small start-up company that has a vision of promoting the fitted cap scene in our region, we have received props and encouragement from fans and cap enthusiasts from all over the world. We are glad that you like our stuff, especially to the international peeps who have no idea what the Philippines is all about. WIP Caps is a movement more than a business, so we are glad that a lot of people are actually recognizing us and giving us props.
For the uninitiated, "MNL" stands for Manila, the capital city of the Philippines made famous by tourism ads and postcards as a laid back tropical environment that boasts beautiful sunsets, gorgeous women, and lazy boulevards filled with colorful "jeepneys". We know that for many of you people stateside, the 1975 Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Frazier match, "Thrilla in Manila", might have made our city familiar to you. "Thrilla In Manila" has been referenced time and time again by the media and several players in the music industry.
Thus, out of love for the birthplace of WIP CAPS, we are proud to give you the MNL cap.
